We’ve had to take the s06 server (which may also appear as s04.divshare.com when accessing files) offline temporarily to resolve a network connection issue. We apologize for the inconvenience and will have the server online again as soon as possible.

This morning a number of users may have run into an error during uploading, such as “error accessing query string file,” due to a configuration error on our side. We’ve now fixed this problem, so you should be able to upload successfully again. Sorry for this inconvenience.

We experienced several hours of downtime on s14.divshare.com due to a software crash this morning, and we’ve just brought that server back online. All files are accessible again, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

Update: Sorry for the extended downtime on this server. We are waiting for the completion of some more hardware replacements, and will have these files back online as soon as possible.

We had a problem with the power supply in our s08.divshare.com server overnight, causing several hours of downtime through the morning. Our staff at the datacenter has replaced the faulty hardware, and no data has been lost. The server should be back online in the next hour. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Update, 5:30 ET: We’re very sorry for today’s downtime, which was caused by a scripting error that overloaded one of our database servers. We’ve fixed it now and have taken measures to prevent that this sort of error, which should have had relatively little effect on the site’s performance, does not cause such a long period of downtime ever again. Sorry again for the inconvenience, and let us know if you run into any further issues today.

Update, 3:44 ET: We’re very sorry for the continued issues. We’ve now brought all our database servers back into sync, and we expect the site to be running smoothly again in the next few minutes. Please let us know if you continue to have problems accessing any part of the site.

Update: The slowness / downtime is being caused by a problem with one of our database servers, and our staff is working on repairing that server now. In the meantime, we’ll keep the database offline so as not to cause further site timeouts.

We are experiencing a network outage, and our staff at the datacenter is working to pinpoint and resolve the problem now. We apologize for this inconvenience and will have more updates as soon as possible.

We’re working on some overnight maintenance on the s06 server, so the files hosted there will be offline tonight. We expect to have everything back online early Friday morning. We’re very sorry for the inconvenience.

5 ET: All set on the overall site issues. We will be bringing the server back online in the next few minutes.

4:30 ET: Unfortunately, some of the work we’re doing on the Apollo server appears to have stalled many of our main web servers, which means the site may be inaccessible at this time. We’re working on fixing the issue, and everything will be back online soon. Very sorry for this inconvenience.

4 PM ET: We’re replacing some hardware in the Apollo server now, so it will be offline for about 30 minutes.

We’re rolling out some new scripts on the apollo.divshare.com download server, so you may see periodic downtime for the files hosted there throughout the day. We’ll do our best to keep it minimal and have everything back online as soon as possible.

10:30 PM ET: We’re all set, and now taking advantage of a speedier database setup. Enjoy!

8:50 PM ET: The upgrade is taking a bit longer than we expected, but we’re now in the home stretch. Sorry for the additional downtime.

We’re adding a new database server to our network, and to do so we’ll need to take our current database offline for a few minutes this afternoon. This will cause the site to be unavailable for a short time. During the outage you should see a friendly “We’ll be right back” message, but you may experience some page load timeouts as well. We apologize for the inconvenience and will have the servers back up as soon as possible.

Update, 4:30 ET: All done, with no downtime!

We’re testing some new download software on s15.divshare.com, so you may experience very brief outages while downloading files from this server today. We don’t expect any extended downtime, and will have everything fully tested and active as soon as possible.

1 PM, Jan. 29: We have pinpointed and repaired the issue on our second upload server, and it’s now back online. Please let us know if you run into any problems.

Update, Midnight ET: We are experiencing upload errors again on this server, so we’re taking it offline for further investigation. You’ll still be able to upload to our other servers, so you should not notice any outages or downtime.

Update, 7 ET: This upload server is now back online and fully functional. Please let us know if you run into any errors.

We’ve taken upload server 2 offline this afternoon after some users were experiencing problems uploading images. We’ll be working on this server today and should have it back online shortly. In the meantime, uploading can be done as usual from the upload page and will be processed by our other servers.
